Home Use Cases Auto Refresh Booking pages
Auto refresh an appointment page and catch a free slot
Visa offices, passport agencies, driving test centres, clinics — popular appointment pages fill up fast. Auto refresh keeps the page reloading so you spot a free slot the moment one opens.
Set up the timer
- Install the extension. Add Auto Refresh & Page Monitor to Chrome. Auto refresh is free and needs no account.
- Open the booking page and pick an interval. For high-demand slots, try 15 to 30 seconds. For less competitive pages, 1 to 5 minutes is fine.
- Stay logged in. Auto refresh runs in your browser, so your session stays active. The page reloads with your login intact.
Turn on Hard refresh to make sure the page doesn't show cached “no slots available” data.
Be ready to book
When a slot appears, move fast. Have your details — dates, ID numbers, payment info — ready to paste so you can complete the booking before the slot is taken.
Or monitor a public booking page from our servers
If the booking page shows availability without requiring a login, a page monitor can watch it while your computer is off.
- “Tell me when an appointment slot appears on this page.”
- “Alert me when this page stops saying no availability.”
If the page requires you to sign in before showing slots, use auto refresh instead — the monitor can't log in for you.
Questions
Will it work on pages that require a login?
Auto refresh works on any page open in your browser, including pages behind a login. Monitors can't access login-protected pages.
How fast should I refresh?
15 to 30 seconds for high-demand slots like visa appointments. 1 to 5 minutes for less competitive bookings.
Does it book the appointment for me?
No. It reloads the page so you can see when a slot appears, and you complete the booking yourself.
Can I use a monitor for appointment pages?
Only if the page shows availability without signing in. Otherwise, auto refresh in your logged-in browser is the way to go.
